Twilight's Peter Facinelli: 'I'm Team Edward'
According to People, the actor who plays Robert Pattinson's on screen pa said: “I'm Team Edward, because he's my son and I like to keep it in the family.”
However, Peter went on to say that even if he wasn't in the Twilight Saga, he'd still be Team Edward.
“If I had no association with the films, I'd still be Team Edward, there's something interesting about living forever, having that eternity.”
And if Peter was 10-years younger, then we wouldn't have been drooling over Robert Pattinson, instead it would be Peter who we would want to bite our necks.
“If I was maybe 10, 11 years younger – what is Rob like 24? – I'd like to play Edward, But the apple doesn't fall far from the tree so it's pretty cool playing Carlisle.”

Peter Facinelli Talks About Fame and Robert Pattinson
Here’s an extract from one of Peter Facinelli’s recent interviews where he talks about working with Robert Pattinson and the effects of fame. You can read the full article here at the source.
It’s hard to imagine now, but the crowds weren’t always there. While filming the first movie in Oregon, Facinelli said he and fellow actors Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson could grab dinner in local restaurants and no one batted an eye.
“We could’ve been doing a cookie commercial. Nobody cared we were doing this movie,” he said. “We felt a responsibility to make a good movie for the fans of the books. But somewhere between the wrapping of filming and the premiere, that fan base exploded.”
Even after that, the dark-haired Facinelli said he often wasn’t recognized in public. In real life, he’s a young-looking 36 with a healthy glow about him. It takes up to two hours in a makeup chair to transform the actor into Carlisle Cullen, a 350-year-old vampire with bleach-blond hair and pale, shimmery skin.
Of course nowadays, admirers have no problem picking the L.A. resident out of a crowd. He’s happy to sign autographs and pose for photos, though he’d rather not pretend he’s biting someone. For the most part, he said, fans are friendly and supportive.
“They’re very polite about it,” he said. “I feel bad for Rob Pattinson. He can’t walk anywhere. I can still walk through a mall and people recognize me, but it isn’t like the whole mall is staring at me.”

Peter has no clue how Rob handles all the attention
If Rob takes the attention off me then I’m happy to take whatever is left over because there’s plenty to go around for everyone in the cast. I don’t know how Rob handles it. I know how much attention I get and it’s crazy and he gets so much more than me, I can’t imagine how he does it. To have your life under a microscope like that when you’re only 24. He can’t even walk down the street to get a coffee without paparazzi jumping out of the bushes. If it was me I think I’d go crazy, it must be very difficult.

As you may have seen, Robert Pattison took time out from filming in London to speak to a world-wide audience during George Clooney’s “Hope for Haiti” telethon on January 22nd.
Kristen Stewart, unable to participate in the telethon due to her participation in Sundance, later scheduled a dinner at La Vida with proceeds going to the same organization.
Anna Kendrick and Taylor Lautner appeared on the “Hope for Haiti” telethon, answering phone calls to take donations for the event.
Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner: Attended a “New Moon” benefit screening in Knoxville, TN, where the nearly $400,000 raised went to charities such as East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Second Harvest, Boy Scouts of the Smokies, Imagination Library, and the American Heart Association.
Robert Pattinson: Aside from Hope for Haiti, Robert Pattinson has also raised money for amfAR cinema against AIDS by auctioning off his kisses! He also signed a guitar which went up for auction and all proceeds went to The Midnight Mission. Finally, Rob has donated some of his film costumes to be auctioned off, with all proceeds benefiting Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF)
Most recently, Rob and “Water for Elephants” announced that based on Rob’s March 2010 statement that his charity of choice is the World Wildlife Federation (WWF), WaterForElephantsFilm.com will be supporting Robert Pattinson’s philanthropy by spreading the word via their website and encouraging readers to donate to WWF.

She also participated in Sam Bradley’s “Gewa” charity concert which raised money for people in Tibet. Kristen recently signed speakers, with proceeds benefiting Clothes off Our Backs. The title of this organization is pretty self explanatory – People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Christian recently posed for PETA posters (nudity warning) where she bared nearly all in opposition to wearing fur and also helped the campaign against seal slaughter.
Kellan Lutz: Kellan also participates with PETA and the One Campaign which attempts to organize Americans to fight AIDS and global poverty. Kellan also worked with Ashley Greene on the Jeans for Teens campaign.
Jackson Rathbone: The Spencer Bell Legacy Project
This organization features a video directed by Jackson (his debut) and attempts to raise money for adrenal cancer.
Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone: Bono’s “One” campaign. The “One” campaign fights against extreme poverty and global disease.

Booboo has been spotted generously feeding the homeless for the Los Angeles Mission during his downtime and has stated how much he loves helping the organization.

Peter Facinelli In Nurse Jackie

Peter Facinelli isn’t your typical teen heartthrob. That's not to say that he doesn't have the looks or the charm. But at 37 he's slightly more mature than the usual suspects. He’s also happily married (to fellow actress Jennie Garth) and has three young children.
Facinelli plays the Cullen family patriarch in the film adaptations of Stephanie Meyer’s The Twilight Saga alongside teenage and twenty-something actors Robert Pattinson, Kirsten Stewart and Taylor Lautner. But despite the coterie of young blood to contend with, Facinelli has developed a cultish fan base of his own. He has more than 1.5 million followers on Twitter and legions of Facebook fans. Not mention a 15-year film and television career that includes Six Feet Under, The Big Kahuna and, most recently, Nurse Jackie.
Here he tells The Independent about the sensuality of vampires, on-set romances and Twitter:
At the moment you’re best known for playing doctors: Dr Fitz Cooper in Nurse Jackie and of course Dr Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight franchise. Do you ever worry about being typecast?
No. It’s just an occupation. I don’t play the occupation I play the person and they are vastly different. The fact that they have the same job is just happenstance. Besides, Carlisle is a vampire.
Nurse Jackie, a dark comedy series about Jackie Peyton, a New York-based nurse, has only recently hit screens over here. Can you describe your character in the show and what attracted you to the role?
The show is a look at hospital life from the view of the nurses. My character is sort of the nemesis of Jackie, played by Edie Falco. He has a tumultuous relationship with her. There are times when he has great admiration and respect for her and times when he can’t stand her. It’s a love/hate relationship. It kind of reminds me of the kid in third grade who likes a girl so much he ends up tugging her pigtails. He’s egocentric and self obsessed, although strangely likeable. He also has sexual tourettes, which means that occasionally he’ll just reach out and grab at her breast. It makes for good comedy.
You’re an active Tweeter and I understand that this inspired the makers of Nurse Jackie to do something a bit different with Twitter on the show. Can you explain this?
Well the writers were talking about doing a Twitter account for my character. They then realised that I have a very active Twitter with lots of followers so they thought it might be fun to have art imitate life, so to speak. They wrote it into the script and set up an @DoctorCoop and now they’ve set it up so that when the show airs and you see my character Tweeting they’ll go out in real time to the Twitter fans. It’s a way of incorporating social media into television.
You’ve alternated between doing film and TV roles throughout your career. Which do you prefer?
I tend to go where ever the material is good and the writing is good. If it happens to be in television then I will go there. I like the immediacy of television because you shoot it and then people get to watch it. But then film is exciting too because it’s such an event. People get in their cars and buy popcorn and make a night out of it. If I had to choose between doing one or the other for the rest of my life it would be films.
You met your wife, actress Jennie Garth, on the set of ‘An Unfinished Affair’ in 1996 and you’ve been together ever since. Can you tell us a bit about how you got together?
We were shooting the movie and we met and hit it off. She was going through a tough time as she was in the midst of ending a relationship, so we became friends and I supported her. We continued to be friends and eventually got together. We met on the set of ‘An Unfinished Affair’ and I like to joke that the affair’s not over yet!
What do you think of the sometimes fraught on-set Hollywood romances that appear in the tabloids, from the perspective of someone who has made a successful marriage with a former co-star?
I don’t know too much about other people’s relationships. I just know about mine, and every day I love my wife a little bit more. The idea of doing anything to jeopardise it is unthinkable. But I do think it’s inevitable that if you throw people together a lot sometimes things will happen. Not just in film, in any working environment, but probably more so in film and television because people are taken far away from their normal lives. It’s like a reality TV show where people are left isolated on a desert island. They start relationships because they are out of their reality and as a result they’re sometimes not very real.
How have you coped with the attention from fans that Twilight must have brought you?
It doesn’t really affect me on a daily level. I don’t get mobbed like Robert Pattinson (who plays his step-son Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga). I really enjoy corresponding with fans. Any time you meet someone who is excited about your work it’s gratifying. It’s better than having people throw rotten tomatoes at you! The most attention I get is kids ringing the doorbell of my house.
Why do you think people are so interested in vampires and the supernatural?
I think there’s a sensuality about vampires. A monstrousness. They offer up eternal life in exchange for blood. There’s something intense about wanting someone so much that you have to devour them. The biting of the neck. It’s sexy.

How have you coped with the attention from fans that Twilight must have brought you?
It doesn’t really affect me on a daily level. I don’t get mobbed like Robert Pattinson (who plays his step-son Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga). I really enjoy corresponding with fans. Any time you meet someone who is excited about your work it’s gratifying. It’s better than having people throw rotten tomatoes at you! The most attention I get is kids ringing the doorbell of my house.
Why do you think people are so interested in vampires and the supernatural?
I think there’s a sensuality about vampires. A monstrousness. They offer up eternal life in exchange for blood. There’s something intense about wanting someone so much that you have to devour them. The biting of the neck. It’s sexy.

Peter Facinelli Dishes Some Details For Eclipse

Peter Facinelli spilled some details about Twilight Saga: Eclipse recently. Facinelli gave Entertainment Tonight the scoop on Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the upcoming Eclipse movie.
We are going to see Dr. Carlisle Cullen in a new light when Eclipse rolls around. You get to see a side of Carlisle you haven’t seen before. There are some great battle sequences.
The fan base has been so phenomenal. When you go to an event, people have flown in from other countries just to take a picture with you. That is a loyal fan base that you can’t even imagine having. I am thankful for all of them. That is why I try to give back in connecting with them on Twitter.

I have a 12-year-old daughter [Luca Bella, whose mom is Jennie Garth]. She’s a fan and I’d want her not to feel left out or awkward. Hopefully it’s a PG-13 type of situation. I’m sure the producers and directors know what they want—and especially what they are doing—but I’m sure they don’t want to alienate fans.

Remeber the rumors of Rob being a stinky guy? Well Peter Facinelli says that he told Rob to wear the same cloths over and over so whne they try to sell the pictures they would seem they were from the same day. Twilight cast joke, Ashley Greene said the best thing is "dont sniff" him. LOL and Chris Weitz says he knows when Rob is coming cuz he can "smell him." Poor Rob he is the smelly guy. I don't care it's all manly anyways! He is mine hahaha

Can we just laugh at this? As you can you can tell Rob and Kristen are not holding hands. Peter and Kellan (Facinelli and Lutz) are joking with the fans cuz of all the (stupid) rumors of Rob and Kristen's so called love affair. Tom Sturidge and Rob are not even touching each other. My point? Our imaginations runs wild just to get what we want. Everyone please stop assuming something we have no actual proof of. I do not know if Rob and Kristen are together or just friends, but lets them live their lives in private! YES???
Tom Sturidge movie called Pirate Radio (The Boat that Rocked) just been released in Europe and was interviewed about it. During the interview he was asked questions about his friendship with Rob and he said that he didn't want to say anything about it. Reasons? Well he explianed that it is not right for him to say things about his friend wthout him knowing it. He feels its sort of disrespectful. What a great friend to have. Finally someone that is like no he is my friend im not going to exploite him and we are here for my movie. ya know? Rob you have a wonderful friend!

Peter Facinelli & Kellan Lutz is now #Pellan, a trend started by none ther other Petter Facinelli. This was posted after the Frenzy started by the pictures of Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart landing in France in an arm brace. I say arm brace cuz she is holding his arm as they walk away from the plane. People say they were holding hands but as you can see he has a hat in the hand in which he is supposedly holding her hand with.
