"Hope For Haiti Now," Where To View It Online
.
"Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief" will air tonight on a number of networks, including MTV. Hollywood actors and actresses will man phones, while musical stars will perform on-air, and George Clooney hosts. For those with only a laptop in front of them, how can they watch "Hope for Haiti Now" online?

Those wanting to watch "Hope for Haiti Now" live online need only go to Fancast. While the post at that location at the time of this writing is just text now, once the telethon begins airing, at 8PM EST, they will add a viewer to the page so visitors can watch "Hope for Haiti Now" online.

The telethon, whose only goal, according to George Clooney, is to "raise money," was the brainchild of Clooney. Since he first initiated conversations on this, over 100 stars have signed on. Many of them will be manning phones, rather than performing, but there will be plenty of performers as well.

Among those listed in the "honor roll" of "Hope for Haiti Now" stars are Brad Pitt, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Clint Eastwood, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Jon Stewart, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hanks and Will Smith. George Clooney (in Los Angeles), Wyclef Jean (in New York) and CNN's Anderson Cooper (reporting from Haiti) will host the event.

Musical performers will include pop legend Madonna (in New York) and Haitian artist Emeline Michel (in Los Angeles) as well as Wyclef Jean, the Haitian musician who founded the Yele foundation for Haiti relief, and not just earthquake reliefl. Also, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira and Sting will be in New York. In LA, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder and Taylor Swift will perform, and there will also be a group performance by Keith Urban, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow. From London will come Beyonce, Coldplay and a collaboration between Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z and Rihanna.

Haiti suffered a huge earthquake on January 12th. The death toll is not final yet, but is estimated in the hundreds of thousands. Much of the infrastructure has been reduced to rubble. The telethon is just one way for people to help.
