Muse Takes the Lead on Eclipse Soundtrack

YES WE KNOW THIS BUT ITS MORE OF A CONFIRMATION AT THIS POINT!

COPIED AND PASTE

Hey, wasn't Death Cab for Cutie just reminding us that "everything ends"?

Not so, according to Muse, whose new tune "Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)" will be featured as the first single off The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack.

Hotness...

Muse is author Stephenie Meyer's "very favorite band," according to a post on her website. So isn't it very fitting that the British trio penned a tune for the film adaptation of what's considered the favorite installment of so many Twihards?

"Neutron Star Collision (LoveI Is Forever)"—such an outerspace-centric, signature Muse title, isn't it?—hits radio May 17, and the whole Eclipse album is out June 8.

The whole Eclipse movie hits theaters June 30. (Or maybe you can get a glimpse of R.Pattz at the red carpet premiere June 24 at the Nokia Theatre, where it's screening as part of the Los Angeles Film Festival.)

Name that baby: Mom & Dad choose Isabella, Jacob

OK REALLY? HAHAHA I LIKE CULLEN FOR A BOY BUT OTHER THAN THAT EH LOL WHERE IS THE EDWARD NAME PLACED?

COPIED AND PASTE

Barack still didn't crack the top 1,000 for boys, but a version of the president's daughter's name, Malia, was the fastest riser for girls. Maliyah moved up 342 spots, to No. 296, while Malia, which is how Obama's daughter spells it, came in at No. 192, rising 153 spots.

Many of the top names — and the fastest risers — match the popular "Twilight" series of books and movies about teen romance and vampires.

Edward Cullen is one of the lead characters. Edward moved up 11 spots, to No. 137 on the list, and Cullen was the biggest riser among boys' names, up 297 spots to No. 485.

Edward Cullen is, of course, a vampire. His girlfriend? Bella, a common nickname for Isabella.

Jacob is another character in the stories, but Jacob's rule at the top started well before the first "Twilight" book was published in 2005. Isabella has been in the top 10 since 2004.

"People seem to be a little bit more creative, inventive and flexible with their daughters' names," said Social Security Commissioner Michael J. Astrue. "With boys, I think we tend to be a little bit more consistent. The names don't change quite as much."

A little more than 22,000 girls born in 2009 were named Isabella, followed by Emma, Olivia, Sophia and Ava. Nearly 21,000 boys were named Jacob, followed by Ethan, Michael, Alexander and William.

Mia was the only newcomer to the top 10 for girls, rising from 14th to 10th. Among the boys, Jayden moved up from 11th to 8th, and Noah moved up from 15th to 9th.

The Social Security Administration started compiling name lists in 1997. The agency offers lists of baby names dating to 1880.

Miley, as in teen singer Miley Cyrus, soared up the charts in 2008 but slipped last year, dropping 61 spots to No. 189. A different version, Mylee, fell even further, dropping 420 spots to No. 853.

Marely fell the most among girls, dropping 517 spots to No. 851.

Jonas, as in the boy band Jonas Brothers, followed a similar path, peaking in 2008 before falling 105 spots last year, to No. 379. Alvin fell the most among boys, dropping 133 spots to No. 570.

"Make sure the name can grow with your child and make sure they can live with it," Moss said. "Don't make it too cutesy because think, can it work in the board room? Can they be a CEO?"

"Don't make the name a burden on your child," she added.

Some 69 boys born in 2009 were named Barack, making it the 1,993rd most popular name for boys. That's up from No. 2,424 the year before.

Michelle, as in Michelle Obama, dropped a spot, to No. 104. Sasha, the name of Obama's other daughter, moved up 101 spots, to No. 261.

"Before the president came on the scene, Barack was at the absolute bottom of the list, and it does take a while usually to move up," Astrue said. "Most politicians will take an increase however they get it."

The Second Family Rob Visited

IM REALLY JEALOUS :(

COPIED AND PASTE

You're not supposed to invite a vampire into your house, but when Robert Pattinson of "Twilight" fame rang the doorbell of the Webster family's Naperville home Tuesday, all decorum -- let alone rules -- went out the window.

Pattinson's appearance was part of a taped stunt set up by producers of "The Oprah Winfrey Show." The actor made surprise visits to three Naperville homes that evening.

"Twilight" cast members from the movie franchise about teen vampires were in town to tape an episode set to air May 13. The Websters were one of the families who had requested tickets to attend the taping. Little did they know they would get a whole lot more.

Jeanne Webster and her daughter Colleen, a sophomore at Naperville Central High School, had been contacted by producers and told that no more tickets were available. Instead, the producers asked if they could set up a video phone in the Websters' home Tuesday night so Winfrey could talk to them remotely during taping the next morning. The Websters agreed and settled in for what they thought would be a dull night of technical setup.

"At 9 p.m. the doorbell rings and we saw this huge light and we were just screaming," said Jeanne. "We thought it was Oprah at the door. My daughter Colleen opened the door and it was Rob Pattinson at the door to wish her a sweet 16th birthday."

Another Naperville family, the McAlpines, also fell victim to what would become a welcome prank.

Lisa McAlpine's 13-year-old daughter Meggan had invited three friends over to watch the video-phone setup. They met a movie star instead.

"The poor man -- they practically tackled him," said Lisa. "I don't think he'll have his hearing back for awhile."

"I was in a state of shock at first," said Meggan. "I always think if I ever meet these people this is what I'm going to say to them, but all I could do was scream."

At the Websters' home, Pattinson stuck around for about 15 to 20 minutes.

"I had my glasses on and had taken out my contacts and had no makeup on," said Jeanne. "I couldn't believe it. He was really funny and answered all of (Colleen's) questions. He was a real laid-back type of guy."

Pattinson also handed out Oprah tickets, so Jeanne, Colleen and 17-year-old daughter Shannon attended the Wednesday taping, where they also got to see stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning.

"It's been a crazy couple of days," said Colleen. "I can't believe it. The first thing that went through my mind was, 'This cannot be happening to me.' I was completely speechless for the first time in my life."
