Kristen Stewart Nominated for BAFTA Award

COPIED AND PASTED

Time to let your fingers do the talking, Twilighters! "New Moon" star Kristen Stewart has been nominated for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Orange Rising Star Award (the BAFTAs are often considered the U.K.'s equivalent to the Oscars). But unlike the Academy Awards, fans get to cast their vote for the Rising Star winner.

The award "recognizes five international actors and actresses who have demonstrated exceptional talent and have begun to capture the imagination of the public as a star in the making." Though KStew certainly fits the bill, she's got some undeniably tough competition in the category. Among them is Kristen's "Adventureland" costar Jesse Eisenberg for his work in the creepy-crawly horror flick "Zombieland."

Other nominees include Nicholas Hoult who you may remember as the titular boy in the Hugh Grant movie "About a Boy" and more recently as manipulative Tony on the BBC drama "Skins." His latest project for which he is nominated is the Tom Ford-directed "A Single Man." "Wall Street 2" actress (and 2008 Rising Star winner Shia LaBeouf's girlfriend) Carey Mulligan is also nominated for her role in "An Education," as is Tahar Rahim for the French movie "Un Prophete (A Prophet)."

The winner will be announced at the Orange British Academy Film Awards on Sunday, February 21. Check out
BAFTA's Web site to learn how to vote for your favorite rising star. (You can only vote once, so make it count!)
