The Irish Central Discusses Robert Pattinson’s Upcoming Role in “Unbound Captives”

The Irish Central published a new article about Rob’s upcoming movie Unbound Captives which is reportedly due to start shooting next year. They are also asking their readers to take part in a poll which asks them if a hunter-gatherer Comanche in ‘Unbound Captives’ is the right role for Robert Pattinson after ‘The Twilight Saga.’ You can vote HERE and read the article below. (mild spoilers)

Robert Pattinson is still set to star in the western “Unbound Captives” alongside “X-Men” star Hugh Jackman. It is thought that this will be his first role when he has finished his four movie stint, as Edward Cullen in, “The Twilight Saga”.

Previously there was rumors of an October start date for “Unbound Captives” but now it seems that the date has been delayed.

Pattinson will begin filming on the last two of movies of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn,” in October. He just finished filming “Water for Elephants” with Reese Witherspoon in Louisiana and reports say that he is taking a break until the “Twilight” filming starts in fall.

“Unbound Captives” will be the directorial debut of Madeline Stowe and is set for release some time in 2011, although this now seems unlikely.

Though not much has been said about his role in the movie it is known that he will play the character of Phineas Connor. Pattinson himself said that it is a “cool script”. It was written by Stowe and her husband Brian Benben in the early 2000s under the pseudonym of O.C. Humphrey.
The movie follows a child who is kidnapped at the age of four in 1859 after his father is killed. The boy and his sister are raised by the Comanche tribe. Their mother, who is rescued by a frontiersman, spends years looking for them but they have forgotten their previous life.

Pattinson will play as the kidnapped child, Phineas Connor. He has also said that he will speak Comanche throughout the movie. Rachel Weisz is cast as his mother and Hugh Jackman as the mother’s rescuer and companion.
