Melissa Rosenberg Says “Breaking Dawn” Won’t Shy Away from Sex, Birth, Feathers and Blood

In a recent article ReelzChannel brings us the most recent Breaking Dawn update straight from screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. Breaking Dawn Part 1 is set to be released on November 18, 2011 and Part 2 will be out a year later on November 16, 2012.

In a new Facebook update, Twilight Saga screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg left a message updating fans on the status of upcoming movie Breaking Dawn. Rosenberg’s message talks about director Bill Condon, and his understanding of Stephenie Meyer’s much-loved creation.

I’ve been working very closely with our director Bill Condon, whose input has been SO great. He understands story, structure and character as only a fellow writer can, but he also has fantastic visual ideas. And he’s not shying away from anything! Sex, birth, feathers, blood … it’s all in there. More later!

The news that Condon won’t be shying away from sex, birth, feathers, and blood will be good news to fans of the saga. Speculation is still high as to whether the movie will heavily edit Bella’s gruesome birth scene, along with the sex that inevitably led to daughter Renesmee’s arrival.

With the movies sticking to Meyer’s requested PG-13 rating, it’s going to be hard for the scriptwriters to adapt the book scene-for-scene.
