Robert Pattinson, REMEMBER ME – Only 64K: Box Office

I SAY IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS MOVIE YET THEN YOUR MISSING OUT ON A REALLY GREAT LOVE STORY AND I PROMISE YOU THAT YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!

COPIED AND PASTE

Starring Robert Pattinson, Remember Me grossed an estimated $64K this weekend after losing 181 theaters — more than half what it had a week ago. Consequently, its drop-off rate was quite steep: 60.9%, according to Box Office Mojo.

At the start of its sixth week in release, the romantic drama directed by Allen Coulter, and pairing Pattinson with Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, and Chris Cooper, has a grossed a total of $18.75 million at the North American box.

Its per-theater average this weekend was a low $408 — in fact, the lowest among the 40+ films found on Box Office Mojo’s weekend chart. (Kristen Stewart’s The Runaways is actually holding up well after last week’s expansion. More on that in a bit.)

About three weeks ago, I believed Remember Me would end up with more than $20 million domestically. Then I lowered my expectations to about $19 million. But if things continue as they’ve been in the past week, Remember Me will have trouble even reaching that more modest mark.

On the positive side, Robert Pattinson’s drama is having better luck overseas. I’ll be posting Remember Me’s foreign revenues shortly.

Remember Me will be out on DVD on June 22.
