That’s a wrap! Francis Lawrence finishes filming Water For Elephants

The tweets from August 4, 2010 started at 8:35 pm (EST)

Just shot what is probably our most beautiful train shot… Setting sun, reflections in the water and white steam shooting thru the trees!

The next tweet at 11:51 pm (EST)

Down to the very last shot. Train thru a tunnel at night.

Rolling the cameras…

and finally at 12:48 am (EST) on August 5, 2010

That’s a wrap on WFE!!!!!!

It’s hard to really express how this feels. Of course we’re thrilled in the sense that we are that much closer to actually seeing the film…heck actually seeing official stills and then clips and eventually a trailer!

But it’s bittersweet. ‘Water For Elephants‘ filming ruled our summer. It was a major part of our lives and it’s tough to see it end. Mr. Lawrence took the whole experience to a level we couldn’t imagine. I’ve never seen such engagement from a director with the fans. Doesn’t it feel personal now? Don’t you feel emotionally attached to everything WFE? I better get off the “mic” because I could get really reflective right about now and ramble on more than I already have.

We have post production to look forward to now! Francis said he would keep us all updated and we have no reason to believe otherwise. You also know we aren’t going anywhere. There’s so much in store for the blog during post production and we can’t wait to bring it to you :) The excitement and anticipation will only continue to grow!

Thanks as always, @Hibbits :)
