Colton Haynes wants everyone to know that he doesn't hate Robert Pattinson. In fact, he's never even met R.Pattz.

Why would people think he has a problem with Rob? Well, because Mr. Haynes auditioned for a certain starring role in Twilight…

Soon after Haynes started getting press for his work as a werewolf on ABC's Sunday-night vampire series The Gates, word got out that the 22-year-old former Abercrombie & Fitch model had read for the part of Edward Cullen.

"It's funny because I auditioned for it but it's not like it came down to me and Rob," Haynes told me earlier today. "But the headlines are 'Colton Hates Robert Pattinson!' or 'Colton On Hating Robert Pattinson.' I'm like, Are you kidding me? I don't even know him. It's more like, Congrats to him. He has a career that's going to last forever."

Besides, Haynes' career is coming along quite nicely, thankyouverymuch. Not only does he play watch-out-when-he's-angry Brett in The Gates, but he also appears in the upcoming Teen Wolf reboot on MTV (this time, he plays a human and not a four-legged killer) and Look on Showtime as a drug-fueled sex-crazed high schooler.

"He's a 17-year-old asshole who tries to be with this girl he likes in high school but she's a virgin," Haynes says of Look. "She won't sleep with him, so he starts making sex tapes with all her best friends.

"It's a blast," he laughed. "Showtime's all the drugs and sex and The Gates is the nice, teenage sensitive werewolf stuff. It's the best of both worlds."

And Haynes already has quite the fan following. Just take a look at some of the YouTube videos that have popped up in his shirtless honor.

Before Robert Pattinson won the adoration the world’s teenagers for playing Edward Cullen in “The Twilight Saga” franchise, he had already made his mark in film. His 2007 comedy-drama “The Bad Mother’s Handbook” is finally due to be released on August 24.

Pattinson stars as Daniel Gale, a teen who is in love with Charlotte Cooper (Holly Grainger). However, things take an interesting turn for Daniel when he discovers Charlotte may be pregnant.

Meanwhile, as the nine months pass, the young man gets to know Charlotte’s family, which includes her mother, Karen (Catherine Tate), who gave birth to her daughter when she was a teenager as well.

Although Pattinson is best known for starring in “Twilight,” there are plenty of other films that fans of his work may enjoy. In fact, the tearjerker “Remember Me,” which also stars Emilie de Ravin, was just released on DVD.

The talented performer also starred in the independent drama “Little Ashes,” in which he played the renowned Spanish artist Salvador Dali.

Ian Somerhalder Battles Robert Pattinson And Britney Stops By 'Glee' In Today's Tweet Dreams

Entertainment Weekly has been asking its readers to make a nearly impossible decision and pick who is the "Ultimate Sexy Beast": Robert Pattinson or Ian Somerhalder? When last we checked, Robert's Edward Cullen and Ian's Damon Salvatore were neck and neck (get it?) with R-Pattz holding a slight 51 percent lead. Still, Ian (pictured here with his sexy undead rival) doesn't foresee a victory (voting is still open for another three days), tweeting to fans, "That Pattinson guy will end up kicking my butt, however thanks for taking the time, that's really cool:)"

Speaking of two people we love, Britney Spears and John Stamos both started filming their guest stints on "Glee" today! Britney (who will have an entire episode featuring her songs) wrote, "About to do my first shot of the day for Glee tweeties! Here we goooo! - Britney http://bit.ly/9WZXpO" and John also reported, "off to first day at GLEE- i'll get back to you end of day." We're not sure how much longer we can wait!

Robert Pattinson Voted World's Sexiest Man By Glamour Magazine

Robert Pattinson has topped the list of world's sexiest men by beating the likes of Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

In fact, the top five in the Glamour.com poll are stars from the Twilight films and TV series The Vampire Diaries.

British actor Pattinson, 24, who plays Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise, retains his place at the top of the list.

At the second place is Pattinson's co-star Taylor Lautner, while Ian Somerhalder from The Vampire Diaries stood at the third spot.

And Twilight stars Xavier Samuel and Kellan Lutz rounded up the fourth and fifth place in the list.

The top 10 is completed by singer Justin Bieber (Kate: Emmm this is a sexiest MAN list, I don't think he qualifies as a man yet) Scottish actor Gerard Butler, Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars films, and Dear John star Channing Tatum.

On the other hand, Johnny Depp has fallen from second to sixth place, David Beckham from fourth to 21st, Pitt from fifth to 33rd and Clooney from seventh to 35th.

"Women are attracted to vampires because of the element of danger that comes with them. They are the ultimate bad boy - and women want to tame the beast within," the Telegraph quoted Charlotte Duck, Glamour.com acting editor, as saying.(Kate: Nope I'm just attracted to Rob and I don't wanna tame any beast the beast can run wild! )

The enormously popular Twilight series has pushed Robert Pattinson to the forefront. Now, whenever the vampire Edward Cullen appears on the screen, scores of women and girls scream their lungs out. But is it Edward Cullen, the character Robert Pattinson plays in Twilight, or Robert Pattinson who is the sexiest man alive? Are fans obsessed with Robert or the character he plays?

If there's one thing about Robert Pattinson, he's not clean cut. His hair is always messy. His face is never clean-shaven. Pattinson has admitted to not washing his hair, for weeks. Said one MTV source, "He stinks. I mean, it's awful. He never showers, and it drives people on the set crazy."
